New Staff
This term we welcome some new staff members. They are:
Caitlin Adams - Administrative Support - Caitlin will be working Monday to Wednesday in the office with Cindy. Among other things, Caitlin will be taking on the additional administration that will be required to support the HOSES and two HOD-Cs working in our school and supporting the process for student absences
Karen Broome - Guidance Officer - Karen is replacing Jovey as our Guidance officer. She will be working every Thursday afternoon. Karen has worked at Depot Hill as a Guidance Officer previously and we are so pleased to have her back
Tamsyn Gardiner - Cluster Head of Department- Curriculum - Tamsyn will be joining us in Week 6. She will be based at our school and working alongside Steph to provide curriculum support to the 22 small schools in our cluster. Tamsyn is currently the Principal of Karumba SS and will be moving to Rockhampton as soon as she is released from her current position.
Madison Guthrie - Maddy is joining us as our speech Pathologist for the rest of the year. Maddy worked at Depot in this position in 2023 before she took leave to have her beautiful baby boy. Maddy is Colleen's daughter and an ex-student of Depot Hill so very familiar with our school.
Charlotte Karthik - Yr 4/5/6 teacher and Reading specialist - Charlotte joins us from the Rockhampton Grammar School and began work on Monday. Charlotte is familiar with Depot Hill as she completed her final prac here in 2020 with Steph, before working in our cluster for 3 years as the 4/5/6 teacher from Port Curtis Road SS. Charlotte is working on her PhD in Reading so we intend to make good use of this knowledge!
