Show Excursion
With the Rockhampton Agricultural Show in town this week it is a good chance for our students to take part in some hands-on activities at the Agricultural Education Pavilion. The programme that is provided aims to provide engaging, hands-on experiences for children and adults that showcase the critical role agriculture plays in everyday life. The program will feature a diverse range of workshops, demonstrations, and interactive activities that emphasise sustainable farming practices, food systems, and animal care.
Our students will be boarding the bus at 9am as the programme begins at 9.30am at the Show Grounds in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion. We look forward to making a native bee hotel, learning about how we can all be part of tackling climate change, meeting our bush fire superheroes, learning the recycling dos and don'ts and of course spending some time in the petting zoo. We will have lunch at the show grounds and then have an hour to have a look around before returning to school at 1.30pm. Any parent helpers who are available on Friday, we would love to have you join us as we will split into small groups as we walk around the show.
Students will take their own lunch on the excursion and lunch box club will be open on Friday morning. If you have not returned your child's permission form for this fun day, please do so as soon as you can.
