End of Winter Sport Season
We have come to the end of our Winter sport season for the upper school. The students enjoyed combining teams with Port Curtis Road State School for netball and Year Five football and with Lakes Creek and Ridgelands State School for the Year Six football team. All students showed real improvements in their sporting capabilities and we were really proud to see the Year Five Football team make it to the semi-finals.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thanks the Capras for their involvement in the training sessions which have been occurring at school. We will no longer be having football training on Wednesday afternoons but we will continue to invite the Capras into the school at lunch times to maintain the great relationships which have been established this year.
Also, a big thank you to Owen, Steve, Mike and Mr Patt for the support you have given our students as they have not only learnt new football skills but also improved their resilience and teamwork skills. Next term, we will not take part in interschool sport as our students will be having swimming lessons. These lessons will be held on Thursday afternoons next term.
