Refurbishment At School
Earlier in the year, I was pleased to be able to report that Depot Hill State School had been successful in receiving a grant for the refurbishment of A Block and the removal of the current library which will be replaced with a new admin and library block. We have also recently become aware that the Prep building will be getting a new ceiling as part of the Asbestos Removal in Schools programme. This building work will be occurring over the Christmas holidays and this week we will be getting the first of 3 containers delivered to our site into which we will be decanting all of the school equipment and furniture. The school staff will be required to pack up and completely empty the library, the Prep building and A block by the end of term. As you can imagine this is a huge task. If you have any time that you would be willing to give, to support us in this work, please talk to Cindy in the office. Please Note, due to the Asbestos Removal which is occurring at the school, no staff or students are allowed on site from the 16-20th December.
